Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

1. What Information We Collect

We do not collect personally identifiable information through our calculators. All calculator inputs (age, weight, height, activity level, etc.) are processed client-side in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers or stored anywhere. Your health data stays on your device.

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous, aggregate traffic data including page views, session duration, device types, browser versions, and approximate geographic regions (city-level only). This data cannot be used to identify individual users. IP addresses are anonymised before processing.

We use Google AdSenseto display advertisements. Google may collect and use data about your visits to our site and other websites in order to serve personalised advertisements based on your inferred interests. This data collection is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy.

We may collect your email address if you voluntarily contact us via our contact form. This is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is never sold or shared with third parties.

2. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies — required for the site to function correctly. These cannot be disabled. They include session management and security tokens but store no personal health data.
  • Preference cookies (logicalc_units) — remember your metric/imperial unit preference across sessions. Duration: 1 year. Provider: LogiCalc.
  • Consent cookies (logicalc_cookie_consent) — record whether you have accepted or declined non-essential cookies. Duration: 1 year. Provider: LogiCalc.
  • Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid) — set by Google Analytics for anonymous traffic analysis. These are only set after you accept cookies via our consent banner.
  • Advertising cookies — set by Google AdSense to serve relevant advertisements. These are only set after you accept cookies via our consent banner.

See our Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies with names, providers, purposes, and durations.

3. Google AdSense and Google Consent Mode

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other websites on the internet. The data collected by Google for advertising purposes includes device identifiers, browsing behaviour, and inferred interest categories.

We have implemented Google Consent Mode v2. Until you accept non-essential cookies via our consent banner, Google Analytics and AdSense cookies are blocked and ad personalisation is disabled. You may opt out of personalised advertising at any time by visiting Google Ad Settings or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.

4. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — you may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to erasure — you may request deletion of your personal data. Note: we do not store calculator inputs, so there is no health data to delete.
  • Right to withdraw consent — you may withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage (key: logicalc_cookie_consent). On your next visit, the consent banner will reappear.
  • Right to object — you may object to data processing for direct marketing purposes.
  • Right to data portability — you may request a machine-readable copy of data we hold.

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

5. Third-Party Links

Our pages may contain links to external websites, including authoritative health sources such as the WHO, NIH, PubMed, and ISSN. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every external site you visit. All external links open in a new tab and are marked with rel="noopener noreferrer" for your security.

6. Data Retention

We do not retain calculator input data — it is never transmitted to our servers. Cookie preference data (logicalc_cookie_consent) is stored in your browser's localStorage and persists until you clear it or it expires (1 year). Google Analytics retains aggregated, anonymised data for 26 months per Google's default retention settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Our site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us so we can delete it. Users aged 13–17 should use this site with parental awareness.

8. Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post the revised date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also display a notice on the site. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
