What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, understand how you use the site, and serve relevant advertising. Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (stored for a set duration).
LogiCalc uses a combination of first-party cookies (set by LogiCalc directly) and third-party cookies (set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense). We use Google Consent Mode v2, which means non-essential cookies are blocked until you give consent via our cookie banner.
Your Consent
When you first visit LogiCalc, a cookie consent banner appears at the bottom of the screen. You can:
- Accept All — enables all cookie categories including analytics and advertising.
- Decline Non-Essential — blocks analytics and advertising cookies. Only essential cookies are set.
Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key logicalc_cookie_consent. To withdraw your consent and reset your preference, clear your browser's localStorage or use your browser's "Clear Site Data" function. The consent banner will reappear on your next visit.
Essential Cookies
Required for the site to function. Cannot be disabled.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest — site operation

Advertising Cookies
Allow Google AdSense to serve relevant, personalised ads. Only set after consent.
Legal basis: Consent
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| __gads | Google AdSense | Ad personalisation and frequency capping | 13 months |

How to Control Cookies
Beyond the consent banner, you can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most modern browsers allow you to:
- View and delete existing cookies on a per-site basis
- Block all third-party cookies (this will disable Google Analytics and AdSense)
- Set preferences for accepting or blocking cookies from specific websites
- Enable "private browsing" or "incognito" mode to prevent persistent cookies
Note: disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of LogiCalc (e.g., your unit preference will not be remembered). Disabling analytics cookies does not affect calculator results.
Opting Out of Google Services
To opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
To opt out of Google personalised advertising, visit Google Ad Settings. You can also use the Your Online Choices tool (EU) or NAI Opt-Out (US) to manage advertising preferences across participating networks.
Third-Party Cookie Controllers
The advertising and analytics cookies set on LogiCalc are controlled by Google LLC, not by LogiCalc. LogiCalc acts as a data processor for these services. For the full details of how Google processes data collected through these cookies, see Google's Privacy Policy.
